Department of Neighborhood Economic Diplomacy

The Department of Neighborhood Economic Diplomacy focus on the construction of theoretical systems on international economy, international relations and China’s economic diplomacy, and related interdisciplinary and cross-field research.
The main research areas of our department are: (1) the impact of strategic competition of great powers (especially Sino-U.S. strategic competition) on China’s economic diplomacy; (2) The influence of changes in the international configuration, regional order, and external environment on China’s (economic) relations with neighboring countries, and on China’s strategy of regional/subregional cooperation; (3) the effect of the reconfiguration of international rules and norms (particularly digital rules and norms) on China’s economic diplomacy.
