Russia’s Asia-Pacific Strategy at the Post Financial Crisis Era

  Abstract: The aim of Russia’s Asia-Pacific Strategy at the Post Financial Crisis Era is to take advantage of Russia’s geo-political and geo-economic superiority, selectively integrate into the political and economic process of the Asia-Pacific region, and to create a beneficial and peaceful environment for Russia’s national security and economic development. The means for Russia to achieve such aim is through strengthening Russia’s national defense capacity building, using its natural resource superiority to absorb regional states engaging into the development of Russia’s Eastern Area, and integrate into the regional integration process of Asia-Pacific area. Under the background of US’s “returning to Asia”, China and Russia should enhance bilateral Strategic coordination.
