The Economic Ties between Overseas Migrants and Their Motherland: A Case Study of India

  Abstract: Overseas migrants all over the world always keep close economic ties with their motherlands. As far as India is concerned, with the volume of 25 million overseas Indians, the economic ties between India and Overseas Indians are increasingly close after the 1990s. They are the important overseas forces of the rising of India. There are both positive and negative factors affecting overseas Indians’ role in India’s economic development. The reason why the overseas Indians can keep close economic ties with India is the promotion by the policy factors of Indian government and the non-policy factors.
