US-India Economic and Trade Relations: Situation, Characteristics and Prospect

　　Abstract: The US- India Economic and trade relations have made considerable progress recently. The trade and investment fields developed fast and the cooperation in the field of high technology and energy became the main points of growth. The US-India economic relations were complementary and it moved toward mechanism. However, the further development of the US -India economic and trade relations will be faced with a lot of problems, such as the unsatisfactory Indian economic environment, the trade friction as well as the intellectual property rights dispute and so on. Impelled by their strategic demands and economic interests, the US- India economic and trade relations would develop continually and steadily.
