The Change of Economic Development Idea of Indian Government and the Transition of Economic Patterns

  Abstract: The Indian government formed the idealistic idea of paying equal attention to economic growth and social just soon after independence. In the late 1960s, Indira Gandhi put more stress on social just and took radical policies because of political struggle. From the beginning of 1980s, Indian government carried out economic adjustment, but the pace was slow and the extent was narrow. Till 1990s, Indian government began to take an extensive reform because of internal and external factors.
