ABSTRACT: In the early 1960s, Pakistan vigorously promoted the border talks with China.The reasons were complex, which was decided by Pakistan’s internal and external environment.Pakistan hoped to improve its relations with China through border talks, and to improve its external environment as a whole.This paper focuses on the reasons and the purpose of Pakistan’s doing so.
