The Drug Economy in Afghanistan：Origins, Effect and Causation

　　ABSTRACT: Illicit opium production and illicit opium trafficking are the main composing of drug economy in Afghanistan. Drug money flow to Taliban and Al-Qaeda group by protection fee of opium cultivation and machining, of drug smuggling Channel and drug sales revenue. It becomes a steady flow of financial resources of these terrorist groups. Because of over a long time poverty of the farmers in Afghanistan, big profits of opium cultivation, weak government control over the country, elaboration of Taliban and successive fault of America, drug economy in Afghanistan is hard to eradicated in a short period of time. It has become the largest obstacle to the international Anti-Terrorism War.
