Obama’s Visit to India:Impact onSino-Indo-US Triangular Relationship

  ABSTRACT: U.S. President Barack Obama made a landmark visit to India in November 2010, which would greatly improve the relationship between India and the U.S.. Obama’s visit attracted significant international attention. Scholars generally argue the growing engagement of the two countries has a China factor. This paper focuses on the analysis of the development of Sino-Indo-US triangular relationship and the mutual interests in building a closer relationship between India and the U.S., examines the possibility of an India-US alliance against China, and finally, tries to propose corresponding countermeasures.
