ABSTRACT:India is another rising country after China. India’s rise exerts considerable influence on the regional and global geopolitics, and its influence is much more comprehensive on China. It weakens China’s influence in Southeast Asia, exacerbates the variables to solve the South China Sea issue, increases the difficulty to solve the Sino-India border issue, restricts China’s development in Central Asia, poses potential threats to China’s maritime security in the Indian Ocean and the strategic interests in South Asia. The rise of India is a new challenge for China’s foreign relations.
