Hindu Caste Relations: Changes in Contemporary India

  ABSTRACT: Speaking of the Hindu caste system, great changes have taken place since modern times. After the independence in 1947, the Indian central government has adopted a series of political, economic and educational measures in addition to its constitution and various legal systems, thus further promoting the caste relations to change. This kind of change concerning the caste system and caste relations is a landmark in the transition of traditional Hinduism to a modern religion.
