The Policy Modification of Small Enterprise Development andIts Achievements in India

　　ABSTRACT: The Indian government has taken a series of policy measures to protect small enterprise development since independence. However, with the development of economy, the negative effects of these protective measures emerged gradually. Under the circumstances, the Indian government recognized that it was important to adjust the policy of small enterprise development from overprotection to reasonable guidance.India’s small enterprises, under the guidance of the government combined with their own efforts, has made remarkable achievements.
