  ABSTRACT: India’s economic diplomacy towards Africa is an important part of India-Africa relationship.It is of great importance for India to strengthen its relationship with African countries.It has important practical significance not only for advancing India’s great power strategy, but also for realizing its great power status.India’s economic diplomacy towards Africa highlights the livelihood-oriented features, including strengthening the people’s livelihood assistance in the areas of economics, technology, infrastructure, human resources, health and agriculture.In the fields of economic and trade cooperation, India’s transnational enterprises emphasize the social responsibilities and vigorously support the development of local industry.India’s economic diplomacy towards Africa has obtained outstanding achievement in political area.There are also some problems in India’s economic diplomacy toward Africa.
