India’s Resource Diplomacy in Africa through the Lens of a Re-calibration in India-Africa Relations

　　ABSTRACT: In recent years, in order to resolve serious domestic resource issues, India has consistently expanded its resource supply channels, with the resource abundant African continent logically becoming an important supply source. India has launched a series of diplomatic initiatives around Africa’s resources. Based on a study of the various resource diplomacy initiatives that India has launched with respect to Africa over the past several years, this article attempts to understand the reasons for India’s active resource diplomacy in Africa. Having done so, the article analyzes the impacts of India’s resource diplomacy in Africa and offers predictions regarding the future of relations between India and Africa. 
